A LineLearner alternative with no cues to record
LineLearner is a record-and-playback app: before you can rehearse, you record every line in the scene yourself, the other characters’ too. Offbook skips all of that. Upload your script, pick your role, and AI voices read every other character and wait for you to finish each line.

Why Offbook is the stronger choice
Nothing to record first
Upload the script and choose your role. Offbook finds the characters and their lines, and AI voices read them. When the director cuts a line, edit the text instead of recording it again.
It waits for your line
Offbook listens and plays the next cue when you finish. A fixed gap never runs out while you search for a word, and you never sit through silence when you are quick.
You choose the voice for each role
Pick an AI voice for each character, so the cast sounds the way you want. Set the speed of any line, add a pause before a cue, or record one line yourself with Voice Clone.
Tools that test you
Hide your lines, show first-letter cues, or hide the whole script for a final run. Loop the scene, or listen to all of it on your phone on the way to rehearsal.
Always up to date
Offbook is a web app, so improvements reach you with no download. LineLearner’s latest iOS version on the App Store is from July 2024.
