Your scripts stay private

Actors often rehearse unreleased material under an NDA. Here is what we promise about the scripts you upload to Offbook, in plain words.

Our promises

We never train AI on your scripts
Offbook does not use your scripts, scenes, or lines to train AI models.
Private unless you share
Your scripts live in your own library. Other Offbook users see a scene only if you share it, and you can stop sharing at any time.
We never sell your scripts
We do not sell your scripts or your personal information, and we never publish your script text or titles.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
Your scripts travel over encrypted connections and are stored encrypted by our cloud providers.
Delete whenever you want
Delete any scene from your library, or your whole account in Settings, at any time.

What happens when you upload a script

  1. 01

You upload. Your file goes to Offbook over an encrypted connection and is saved to your own library.

  2. 02

We read the pages. Offbook reads your script to find each character and their lines.

  3. 03

AI voices the other roles. The lines of the characters you are not playing are turned into spoken audio.

  4. 04

You rehearse. Your microphone audio is sent to speech recognition so Offbook can follow your lines.

  5. 05

It stays yours. The scene stays in your library until you delete it. Other Offbook users see it only if you share it.

How to delete your data

  • •To delete a scene, delete it from your scene list. It is removed from your library right away.
  • •To delete your account, open Settings in the web app (or Profile in the iPhone app) and choose Delete account. This deletes your sign-in, removes your scenes from your account, and cancels your website subscription.

Questions

Can my acting teacher see my scripts?

If you join a class, your teacher sees your practice time and your progress on the scenes they assign. Your own scripts stay private.

What can people I share a scene with see?

People you invite, or who open a share link you create, can see that scene’s title, script, and audio. You can stop sharing at any time.
